SlimShot (the “App”) takes your privacy seriously and complies with applicable data protection laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
1. Summary
- All medication, weight, side effect and profile entries you make are stored only on your device and are never sent to the developer’s servers.
- Data leaves your device only when you actively choose to send it (saving a backup file, sharing the doctor visit summary, or running AI Record Insights).
- AI Record Insights is an optional feature. Figures from your records are sent to Google’s AI service only after you give explicit one-time consent and press the analyze button yourself. Nothing is sent before you consent (see Section 4-1).
- There is no sign-up or login, and the App does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Third-party SDKs may collect a minimal set of device and technical information for advertising, analytics, crash diagnostics and payments.
2. Information stored only on your device
The following information consists of values you enter in the App. It is kept in your device’s internal storage only. The developer cannot access or collect this data.

Retention: This data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. You can erase it at any time using “Delete all data” in Settings (purchase history is retained so that purchases can be restored).
3. Transfers that happen only when you initiate them

The App has no feature that uploads or backs up your data to any server automatically, without an action by you.
4. Information collected by third-party services

The advertising, analytics, crash diagnostics and payment services listed above
cannot access your injection, weight or side effect records, or your progress photos.
The only exception is AI Record Insights (Section 4-1), which runs only when you have
consented and start it yourself.

4-1. AI Record Insights (optional feature)
The App offers AI Record Insights, which turns the patterns visible in the records you entered into plain sentences. This feature runs only after you give explicit one-time consent and press the analyze button yourself. If you do not consent, or simply do not use the feature, no information is transmitted, and every other function of the App remains fully available.

What is transmitted consists solely of numeric values and predefined code values (for example, medication type, injection site, symptom name). Free-form text you have written is not included.
Information that is never sent

Purpose: The transmitted figures are used solely to generate a summary of their patterns for display in the App.
Retention and use by Google: This App’s Firebase project is linked to a billing account on the
paid (Blaze) plan, so the Paid Services terms of the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service apply.
Accordingly, Google does not use the transmitted prompts or responses to improve its products and
services or to train its models. Such data is retained only for a limited period for the purposes of
detecting policy violations and maintaining the safety and security of the service.

Storage of results: The generated summary is stored only on your device and cannot be viewed by the developer or any third party.
Usage limits: To manage service costs, the number of analyses is limited (once every 7 days for free use, up to 3 times per day with the ad-removal support purchase).
Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Withdraw consent” at the bottom of the AI Record Insights screen. Once withdrawn, no further data is transmitted and any analysis stored on your device is deleted as well.
Nature of AI responses: The generated summary is a reference description of the records you entered. It is not a medical diagnosis, prescription or dosing instruction (see Section 8).
Ad personalization and GDPR (UMP)
Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom can choose whether to receive personalized ads through the Google UMP consent form shown when the App is first launched. Purchasing the ad-removal support (a one-time purchase) permanently removes all ads from the App.
5. Permissions requested by the App

If you deny the notification permission, all recording and chart features of the App still work normally.
6. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 14, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your rights and data management
- Access and correction: You can view and edit every record directly in the Calendar and Home tabs of the App.
- Deletion: You can delete individual records, or erase all data on your device immediately using “Delete all data” in Settings.
- Withdrawing AI consent: You can withdraw consent for AI Record Insights at any time on that screen; any stored analysis is deleted along with it (Section 4-1).
- Portability: You can keep and move your own records freely as a JSON file using the backup export feature.
8. Medical disclaimer
The App is an everyday logging tool that records and visualizes the health and injection data you enter. It is not a medical device or a medical service. It does not provide medical diagnosis, prescriptions, dose adjustment decisions or judgments about treatment effectiveness. Please follow the guidance of your own healthcare provider for any decision regarding your health or medication.
This applies equally to everything the App displays, including summaries generated by AI Record Insights (Section 4-1).
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
If this policy changes, the changes and their effective date will be posted in this document.
